The Governing Body is responsible for administering Lodger' Tax monies collected. A five-member advisory board meets bi-monthly to advise the Governing Body on expenditure of funds authorized under Section 17 of the City of Moriarty Lodgers' Tax Ordinance No. O-1997-5. Funds collected must be used for advertising, publicizing and promoting tourist attractions and facilities in the municipality and surrounding area. The Ordinance imposes an occupancy tax of five percent (5) of gross taxable rent for lodging within the municipality paid to vendors.

All forms must be returned to City of Moriarty Wednesday at 5:00 PM the week before scheduled meeting time.
If application are received after that time the request will be placed on next meeting agenda due to time restrictions for meeting time posting.
