In early 1996 the Historical Preservation Committee was formed to honor individuals who where exceptional in the history of Moriarty and the Estancia Valley. With the dedication of Heritage Rodeo Arena in 2008, the "Wall of Fame" was created so that there would be a special place to honor these exceptional individuals.
In 2006, a youth category was added to pay special tribute to a young man, Canaan Bernier. Young Canaan was introduced to our community in 2004 through the Make-A-Wish foundation.
